
About Brianna
Brianna received her masters from Columbia University as a fellow in the prestigious DBT track under Dr. Andre Ivanoff and completed her undergraduate degree from NYU. Brianna is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in New York City. She is also licensed in the states of Connecticut, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, and Florida and able to provide virtual therapy anywhere in NY, CT, NJ, PA, MA, or FL. Her clinical expertise lies in the treatment of OCD and anxiety-related disorders as well as depression and trauma.
Brianna is passionate about utilizing evidence-based practices in her work with clients and received expert-level training in Exposure & Response Prevention (ERP) therapy at the Center for the Treatment and Study of Anxiety at the University of Pennsylvania under the treatment developer, Edna Foa. Brianna has treated OCD & other specific phobias utilizing ERP. She is also intensively trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) which is highly effective for individuals struggling with interpersonal issues, difficulties in regulating emotions and tolerating distress. Brianna has training in Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy to address trauma symptoms and PTSD. She also provides Prolonged Exposure (PE) treatment and trained under an expert in the field, Dr. Melanie Harned. Brianna’s speciality is in treating trauma and she has seen countless positive outcomes in the lives of her clients as a result of these treatments.
Brianna has treated clients of various ages and backgrounds throughout her career. She worked for many years at the group practice, Brooklyn Heights Behavioral Associates (BHBA), on a comprehensive DBT team. While at BHBA, Brianna also developed and implemented their CBT Program to specifically treat anxiety & co-occurring disorders as well as supervised other clinicians. She has developed an expertise in working with adolescents and families over the years utilizing her extensive training. Brianna is committed to providing a safe space for the LGBTQIA+ community as well as patients from all religions, races, and cultural identities. She is dedicated to continuing her education by attending seminars and workshops.
